No, I do not use essential oils with my wax melts. I use high quality fragrance oils which are safe for candle and wax melt use. My suppliers assure me that the fragrance oils I use have not been tested on animals.
I am not an essential oil specialist, although after some research some essential oils can cause allergens and can also be harmful to pets. Some of the fragrance oils may contain some essential oils. Each fragrance oil has been synthetically manufactured in a controlled environment after going through extensive testing.
Each fragranced wax melt comes with its own unique CLP label and if you require further information regarding our wax melts this can also be supplied on request.
You can find our full france list here.
If you are using electronic Aroma Lamps, I recommend reading the safety instructions which came with your lamp and follow the guidelines.
Traditional Wax Warmers & Oil Burners which require a tealight should never be left on while unattended or when you leave your home. You should always ensure your tealight has been extinguished first.
On the back of each fragranced wax melt will be a CLP Label. (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) We are CLP complient with the legalisation and on these labels are the required product information and various warnings which are up to standard guidlines.
The European Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) entered into force on 20th January 2009 in all EU Member States, including the UK.
The white patching, coating or spotting is also known as frosting. This is a common natural occurence with natural wax. It does not affect the quality of the burn or the fragrance ability. It is actually caused by small growths of crystalisation which occurs on the tops and sides of the wax melts. It is usually more noticeable with darker dye shades of coloured wax. I try my best to minimise frosting as much as possible but sometimes it is unavoidable.
This also sometimes happens with chocolate so it is possible you have come across this before.
Frosting will not affect the use or qualitiy of our wax melts and you will still enjoy a beautiful melt pool and excellent scent throw.
I use good quality waxes, I tend to stick with 2 good quality soy pllarblends and also bees wax. 98% soy blend and 2% bees wax.
Wax Melts: You should add 1 wax melt at a time, wait for it to melt and then add another wax melt so you can check on the size of the melt pool ensuring it does not fill the melt bowl and cause a spillage.
Perfume is an instant fire hazzard and therefore we do not recommend adding any perfume to candle wax or wax melts. We use fragrance oils which are designed to blend well with candle wax, which used in the correct proportions will not affect how the wax melts set or the use of wax melts.
Melted wax does not evaporate; only the scent dissipates, so make sure to remove the used wax from your warmer before adding a new wax melts.
