What Is Your Returns Policy?

If you have any issues with your order please contact us as soon as possible, to discuss the issue further. Any returns need to be brought to our attention within 3 days of receiving your order. Custom made orders cannot be returned due to not being able to be sold on as they were made to suit your requirements. Please bare in mind that some melts may possibly get damaged in transit however this will not affect the quality once once melted. Any returns we do not take responsibility for return postage unless the fault lies with Melting Moments of Madness.

If you receive a wax warmer damaged please contact us straight away and attatch a photo of the damage and this way we can send a replacement out without the need to return the damaged item.

Our aim is to dispatch your order as quickly as possible.

If your order comes in after 10am on Saturday, your order is likely to be dispatched on Monday which is the next available working day.

If your order is received before 10am Mon – Fri, then we will do our best to get in in the post the same day otherwise it will be sent the next working day.

On occasions, we may need to make batches of wax melts to complete your order.  In this case we will contact you and inform you which fragrance has been freshly made so you can let it cure for a few days before using it, once you receive your order.  Once your order is dispatched please allow 3-5 days to arrive.

Do You Use Essential Oils In Your Wax Melts?

No, I do not use essential oils with my wax melts.  I use high quality fragrance oils which are safe for candle and wax melt use. My suppliers assure me that the fragrance oils I use have not been tested on animals.

I am not an essential oil specialist, although after some research some essential oils can cause allergens and can also be harmful to pets.  Some of the fragrance oils may contain some essential oils.  Each fragrance oil has been synthetically manufactured in a controlled environment after going through extensive testing.

Each fragranced wax melt comes with its own unique CLP label and if you require further information regarding our wax melts this can also be supplied on request.

Do You Have A Full Fragrance List?

You can find our full france list here.

Can I Leave My Wax Melts On When I Am Not At Home?

If you are using electronic Aroma Lamps, I recommend reading the safety instructions which came with your lamp and follow the guidelines.

Traditional Wax Warmers & Oil Burners which require a tealight should never be left on while unattended or when you leave your home.  You should always ensure your tealight has been extinguished first.

What Is A CLP Label?

On the back of each fragranced wax melt will be a CLP Label. (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) We are CLP complient with the legalisation and on these labels are the required product information and various warnings which are up to standard guidlines.

The European Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) entered into force on 20th January 2009 in all EU Member States, including the UK.

What Is That White Coating On My Wax Melts?

The white patching, coating or spotting is also known as frosting. This is a common natural occurence with natural wax. It does not affect the quality of the burn or the fragrance ability. It is actually caused by small growths of crystalisation which occurs on the tops and sides of the wax melts. It is usually more noticeable with darker dye shades of coloured wax. I try my best to minimise frosting as much as possible but sometimes it is unavoidable.

This also sometimes happens with chocolate so it is possible you have come across this before.

Frosting will not affect the use or qualitiy of our wax melts and you will still enjoy a beautiful melt pool and excellent scent throw.

What Wax Do You Use For Your Wax Melts?

I use good quality waxes, I tend to stick with 2 good quality soy pllarblends and also bees wax. 98% soy blend and 2% bees wax.

How Often Should I Change My Wax Melts?
Melting Moments of Madness recommends that you change your wax melts once the fragrance has completely diminished. A slight smell of wax will start coming through and at that point it is best to change your wax.
For cheaper less quality wax melts this can be as often as 5-8 hours.  I expect good quality wax melts to last a lot longer or upto 20 hours and sometimes longer before needing to be changed.
How Much Wax Can I Add To My Wax Melter?

Wax Melts: You should add 1 wax melt at a time, wait for it to melt and then add another wax melt so you can check on the size of the melt pool ensuring it does not fill the melt bowl and cause a spillage.

Some wax melters will hold more melted wax than others.
Wax Melt Bars: We recommend that you break 1 piece off at a time and add each piece and wait for the wax to melt before adding your next piece.
Can I Add Perfume To My Wax Melts?

Perfume is an instant fire hazzard and therefore we do not recommend adding any perfume to candle wax or wax melts. We use fragrance oils which are designed to blend well with candle wax, which used in the correct proportions will not affect how the wax melts set or the use of wax melts.

Do Wax Melts Lose There Scent?

Melted wax does not evaporate; only the scent dissipates, so make sure to remove the used wax from your warmer before adding a new wax melts.
